Guided Journalling

Write. Reflect. Reset.

Take an hour out of your busy week to slow down, untangle your thoughts and reconnect with yourself through guided journalling, centring mindfulness and gentle breathwork

Why Guided Journalling?

Life moves quickly. Between work, family and endless to-do lists, it’s easy to lost sight of what we’re thinking, feeling and needing ourselves.

Guided journalling creates space to pause.

Using carefully designed prompts, mindfulness and gentle breathwork, these sessions help you to re-centre, slow down, notice what’s happening beneath the surface and gain clarity and fresh perspectives.

You don’t need to be a writer or to have ever journalled before. You don’t even need to know what you want to say.

You simply need to arrive with an open mind – and a pen or pencil and paper.

What happens in the sessions?

Each session is centred around a weekly theme, where 5-10 minute writing time is interspersed with mindfulness, breathwork and optional sharing.

Weekly themes are based on topics such as finding balance, wearing many hats, trusting yourself and letting go.

FAQs

Do I need any previous journalling experience?

Not at all. These sessions are suitable whether you’ve been journalling for years or have never written in a notebook before. The prompts are designed to make reflection easy and accessible.

What happens in a typical session?

Each one-hour session includes journalling prompts around a weekly theme, a short grounding meditation, gentle breathwork and time to reflect. There is an opportunity to share thoughts with the group if you wish, but there is never any expectation to do so.

Will I have to share what I've written?

No. Your journal is for you. Sharing your reflections or what you’ve written is entirely optional, and many people choose simply to listen to others if they prefer.

What should I bring?

Just being a notebook and a pen or pencil – and a willingness to explore. You’re also welcome to bring a (non-alcoholic!) drink if you’d like.

Is this suitable if I'm feeling stressed or overwhelmed?

Many people find journalling helpful for making sense of busy thoughts and creating a little space in their week. These sessions are intended to support wellbeing through guided reflection. They are not therapy or a substitute for professional mental health support.

What if I miss a session?

Each session explores a different theme, so while attending all four is recommended, you’ll still benefit from any individual session you attend. Unfortunately, missed sessions can’t be transferred or refunded.

Is there parking? What are transport options?

The nearest car park is on the Broadway, near to Wimbledon Theatre (approx. 5 mins walk). Wimbledon train station (14 min walk) and South Wimbledon tube station (9 min walk) are the closest. The Polka Theatre bus stop nearby serves the 57, 93, 131 and 219 buses.

Is the building accessible?

Unfortunately, the room is only accessible by using stairs. If you are interested in doing this class and cannot attend because there are stairs, please email julie@revivifywellbeing.com and we will let you know when other venues are available.
